Guidance, not engineering advice
What BDACheck can and cannot tell you. Last updated October 25, 2026.
What BDACheck is
A working tool for building managers: free test reminders, a test log, and guides on BDA testing, cost, signal booster registration and inspections, with a source for every rule we state.
What BDACheck is not
- Not an engineer or tester. We do not measure signal, design systems, perform tests or sign test reports.
- Not your fire marshal. The fire marshal (AHJ) for your building decides what tests are required, how often and what passes.
- Not a price quote. Cost ranges in our guides describe the market in general. Your building's price depends on its size, construction and what the survey finds.
- Not legal advice. If a citation or contract is in dispute, talk to a lawyer.
Dates and schedules
Reminder dates come from the test dates you enter and the interval you choose. If your fire marshal has published a schedule, follow it; where a guide says a rule is not published, confirm it with the fire marshal before you rely on any date.
When rules change
Codes and local rules change. Each guide shows when it was last checked, and every update is listed in the changelog. For local requirements by county, see ERRCSCheck.
